Investment Management & Retail Brokerage Usecase

This usecase deals with the application of extracted sentiments in order to improve and support investment decisions made by retail investors as well as professionals in various ways. Two different groups of users are targeted: on the one hand the individual customers of online retail brokerage services and on the other hand investment managers. While the respective expertise of these two groups is said to differ significantly, the basic task is similar for both: filtering the universe of available investments for promising investments and subsequently choosing the right investments according to individual criteria and risk preferences.

Reputational Risk Usecase

FIRST aims to bring forward a new approach to reputational risk. Such approach aims to deliver a service for the benefit of the mass-market clientele. The direct end-users of the service are financial analysts and specialists (e.g., risk managers) assisting Relationship Managers (RMs) or anyway supporting policy governance at the bank’s central level, as well as financial product engineers for their product development activities.
